"Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1.5 pounds of Italian sausage
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 small red onion, sliced
- 2 teaspoons of minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup of white wine
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh basil
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley
Directions:
1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the Italian sausages and cook until browned on all sides, about 7 to 10 minutes. Remove the sausages from the skillet and set them aside.
2. In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers and red onion. Cook until they're softened, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine with the vegetables.
3. Pour the white wine into the skillet, stirring to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
4. Return the sausages to the skillet. Cover and simmer until the sausages are cooked through, about 15 minutes.
5. Remove the skillet from the heat and sprinkle the dish with the chopped fresh basil and parsley.
